Program
8 premieres under the heading COMMON SENSES shift perspectives and reflect the status quo of our social interactions. Guests from philosophy and science stimulate our thinking with impulses. You can also expect a “kiosk of unfulfilled wishes”, a floating light-space installation, bar, music, DJs and appetizers in the Discourse Kitchen.
Audience members can experience several short monologues and specials in close succession each evening – we recommend day tickets for the best festival experience.
In addition to the festival trailer, you can find Byung-Chul Han’s opening speech as a video as well as selected press reviews of the festival here.

tutti d*amore has entered into a dialogue with an AI and asked whether it has the desire to be human. The result is the character VERONIKA, who as the protagonist of a miniature opera questions the sense and nonsense of COMMON SENSES and thus also what distinguishes them from us humans.
Veronika is both: a woman full of life and tired of life. But the reality of her existence lies in her past. Veronika is in fact not a real person at all. That is, somehow, she is. She has a human body, she can speak, think, and feel – everything humans can do. But Veronika has only borrowed the human body. Veronika is an AI, an artificial intelligence, a machine. And therefore she is definitely not a human being. Or is she?
Anna Weber has formed texts and libretti from the dialogue with the AI, in which human existence becomes an exhibit in the panopticon of the AI world and at the same time its place of longing. Josef Maria Loibner’s electroacoustic compositions bring life and emotion to the machine texts. The embodiment of Caroline Schnitzer makes Veronika become a human being before our eyes.
Tutti d*Amore is a Berlin-based music and theatre collective which cuts stale operas and operettas loose from their reputation as anachronistic, dry art forms and infuses them with authentic, bold flavour. We are a cocktail of professional artists from a variety of fields of theatre and music who want to do more with opera than simply present it in the traditional way. We take an opera, twist it, knead it, chop it up, and serve it crisp and piquant. tutti d*amore is organised as a collective with the aim of fostering a free and democratic way of working and performing. Despite the name, we do not sell fruit-flavoured food. We make opera accessible. We do opera*ette. As theater for all. www.tuttidamore.de / @tuttidamore
